Minors are not prohibited from being included in the visitor’s list, and individuals over the age of 18 must have a valid ID card or will be denied entry into the facility for a visit.

Individuals on an inmate’s visitor list may only visit during the inmate’s cell block allocation in the facility’s visitation schedule. The table below contains the current schedule for the jail.

Mailing and Commissary Information

The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office, on July 1st, 2024, partnered with a private provider to process inmate mail for the Correctional Facility. This partnership stopped the sending of mail directly to the facility. Instead, mail is now sent to the private provider’s processing center address. The mail is received, inspected, and scanned by the facility and delivered to the jail through an electronic tablet system.

The processing center only accepts standard envelopes and letters. Envelopes that are scented or contain stickers, stamps, jewelry, glitter, glue, paint, or lipstick marks are rejected.

Legal mail and money orders should be sent directly to the Rock Island County Correctional Facility. Individuals may review the Electronic Inmate Mail Frequently Asked Questions to obtain more information about mailing procedures and rules in the county.
